The new application, called Slingplayer Mobile, allows you to watch and control your own TV and DVR remotely via the Internet. The application is currently in public beta and only available to customer in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.

A brand spankin' new Muppets movie is coming to the small screen tonight. Letters to Santa stars all the muppets, and has appearances by Mayor Bloomberg (as himself), Uma Thurman, Nathan Lane, Whoopi Goldberg (as a cab driver) and 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski.

MTV is airing "Whitney Looks Back from The Hills to The City" special this afternoon to remind everyone how Whitney ended up in "The City" with a few sneak peeks of "The Hills" Season Final.
